THINK! PRAY! Smoking For JesusMinistry! Where did we get the name and where do we come from? Smoking For JesusMinistry’s name was given by the Lord in March 1996 to Elder Willie Monnet Sr., as he taught the Monday Night Men's Bible Study at Gideon Christian Fellowship, under the leadership of Pastor Willie F. Wooten in New Orleans. Many phrases were given "hot from the throne room" as he preached to motivate men to change. As a result men and women as well as many children were able to receive a life-changing message which (eventually) led to salvation. As time went on the Lord launched us out fresh and anew into a small yet thriving and capable ministry. Since 1996, we have been building according to Psalms 127:1"except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it". So, if you feel that God is calling you to this ministry you must not only be willing to be built and restored but also be a co-laborer with us, helping others, as God lay the foundation in their lives. When you look around and see what appears to be a group of ordinary people, don't be deceived, they are hidden treasures filled with many gifts and talents. These ordinary people are being greatly used in the Kingdom and with much grace and mercy God will restore them (that is make their condition better than it was before), one brick at a time as He builds a foundation not made of human hands but with that of the Spirit. Pray, pray and pray again but, “do not err my beloved brethren” James 1:16. God always uses those things which "seemeth foolish or simple to man to confound the wise" as in 1 Corinthians 1:27-29. Ask God to check out your heart and weigh your motives. If you are a new Christian get ready to receive God's cleansing Word which will prove you and build a foundation that all will truly marvel at. Then again if you think you're not a babe and are more mature and if God is leading you, come as Jesus said, “as a little child”, willing to hear, listen and obey that you might be well equipped for the work of the ministry. Remember, you must be willing to commit your whole life to the building of this ministry to affect the Body of Christ. Then the Lord will be able to promote you and bring you into His perfect and acceptable will for your life. DO YOU still want to be a member? If the answer is yes welcome aboard as we storm the gates of Hell clothed in righteousness with the anointing to tear down every stronghold in your life, setting the captives free.
